If however your danby air conditioner is leaking water outside of the system or it is leaking coolant there are a few things you should consider.
Often water leaking is a result of water in the drain pipe building up instead of being dispersed by the condenser.
Coolant leak if your danby air conditioner is leaking coolant or refrigerant gas the unit should be removed from your home immediately.
If water appears and starts dripping into your room again check to see if the ac unit is properly sealed in the window.
If the defrost drain is frozen the water will overflow the drain trough and drip down to the bottom of the compartment.
The circulation fan blade is fitted with a slinger ring that picks up water from the drain pan and slings it against the condenser coils.
If the defrost drain is frozen thaw the ice.
These coils get hot because the refrigerant inside is being compressed by the condenser prior to entering the evaporative coils.
An air handler that is leaking water on the floor may be the result of a few issues.
These coils have the tendency to get hot and at risk of overheating and splashing water over them prevents that problem.
A clogged condensate drain line is the most common cause of water leaking from your ac into your home.
My jug method does the trick simply.
In order to prevent this simply add a tablespoon of bleach twice a year to the tray.

If the drain line gets clogged with dust dirt sludge or mold that water backs up into your home.
Check the defrost drain to determine if it is clogged or frozen.
This is a low tech method to drain a portable ac with a drain hose too close to the ground to allow easy draining.
